Melanie Evans
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Melanie joined ING in 2017 to lead the Retail Bank for ING Australia. She was appointed country CEO in November 2020.
Melanie has spent her career in financial services. Starting out with a St.George Bank cadetship in 1995, she later joined Westpac’s equities business in 2000. After a move to BT Financial Group in 2003, she spent a decade in product, brand, marketing, superannuation, platforms and investments leadership roles.
Returning to banking within the Westpac Group as a Chief of Staff, she then went on to lead business units across mortgages, transformation and business banking. In 2017 she moved to ING, leading ING's retail growth and diversification agenda.
Melanie volunteers her time as an independent director on the Board of Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) and is Chair of the SLSA Finance, Audit and Compliance Committee. Melanie is also a Board Member of the European Australian Business Council.

András Hamori
Head of Retail Banking
András Hamori joined ING Australia as Head of Retail Banking and member of the Executive Committee in August 2021.
András started with ING in 2019 as Head of Retail Banking in Austria, having come from Alfa Banking Group and before that, Sberbank Europe where he was responsible for multiple markets across Central and Eastern Europe, and launching a digital strategy for the banking group. In 2010 he founded stand-alone digital bank ZUNO for Raiffeisen Bank International, one of the largest banking groups in the region.
András started his career as a Management Trainee at GE Money in Hungary and was appointed Chief Consumer Risk Officer in the Executive Team. He graduated as M.Sc of Economics and was honoured with the Best Marketing Graduate Award.

Andrew Hector
Head of Wholesale Banking
Andrew is responsible for ING’s Wholesale Banking activities in Australia and a member of the Executive Committee. As a senior executive with more than 30 years of corporate and institutional banking experience with Australian and international banks, Andrew has worked across a diverse range of sectors, including Retail & Wholesale trade, Food/Beverage & Agriculture, Telco/Media & Entertainment, Property and Health.
Andrew has a Bachelor Business, Banking and Finance from Charles Sturt University.

Michal Kowalczyk
Chief Financial Officer
Michal Kowalczyk was appointed Chief Financial Officer for ING Australia in January 2023.
Michal brings more than 20 years of international experience in banking. He has held a range of executive finance roles, delivering substantial growth in ING’s Polish and German businesses. Prior to his appointment as ING Australia CFO he was Head of Global Management Accounting and Advice for ING Group where he was responsible for management reporting, planning and forecasting processes for ING Group globally, and providing strategic counsel to ING’s Management Board Banking on key decisions to maintain sustainable business growth.
Michal holds a Master of Arts, Banking and Finance from Warsaw School of Economics.

Linda Da Silva
Chief Information Officer
Linda Da Silva joined ING Australia as Chief Information Officer in December 2019. In this role she leads the Technology and Data teams to deliver the digital and data agenda for ING in Australia.
Prior to joining ING, Linda held a number senior leadership roles at Westpac Banking Corporation managing large complex areas spanning Consumer Bank, Wealth, Group Operations and Enterprise Services. Her last role at Westpac Group was CIO BT Financial Group.
Linda joined the Westpac Group in 2008 following a 15-year career in consulting and leadership roles in Australia, Asia, Middle East and the UK. As a consultant, Linda worked across many industries to deliver large-scale technology transformation programs.
Linda is a highly experienced technology leader, who combines strong business acumen with deep technology, transformation and execution expertise to deliver innovative, strategic business and customer outcomes.

Praveen Khurana
Chief Risk Officer
Praveen Khurana was appointed Chief Risk Officer for ING Australia in February 2023.
Praveen is a results-driven banking professional with proven strengths in financial & non-financial risk management and people development. He has a deep knowledge of credit risk management and is passionate about innovation, automation and transformation.
Praveen has more than 25 years of international experience in risk management across various industries, including executive roles for ING in the Netherlands and Asia. Prior to joining ING Australia, he was ING’s Head of Risk for Retail/Rest of World.
Praveen holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA), Major in Finance from the Institute of Management Technology, India; Cost Accountancy Certification from Institute of Cost Accountants, India and Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in Law (Gold Medallist) at S.D College Chandigarh, India.

Fiona Geddes
Chief Operations Officer
Fiona joined ING in March 2022, bringing more than 20 years' experience in banking and financial services. Her career has spanned transformation, strategy, risk management and operations across senior leadership roles at CBA, Westpac and AMP.
Fiona has a proven track record in defining and executing large transformation programs to improve the customer experience. She has experience in optimising operations, managing large and complex projects and delivering more simple and efficient customer processes.
In previous roles, Fiona led aspects of the programs responding to APRA's enforceable undertakings to improve risk management, culture and customer outcomes. She has also spent time running transformation offices, risk and control functions and operational support.
Fiona holds Bachelor Degrees in both Commerce and Science and a Masters of Applied Finance from Macquarie University.

Justine Carmichael
Executive Director, Human Resources
Justine Carmichael was appointed Executive Director, Human Resources in March 2023. She brings 30 years of local and international HR experience, including leadership roles across BHP, United Airlines and equigroup (part of the CBA group). Before joining ING Justine was Chief People Officer at Smartgroup.
Justine has a track record in leading teams, supporting executives, embedding diversity and inclusion strategies and developing talent. As a modern HR leader, she uses human centred design to navigate change.
Justine holds a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Queensland, Graduate Diploma of Industrial Relations from Queensland University of Technology and Masters of Commerce from University of Wollongong.

Lambrecht Wessels
Operational Resilience Lead
Lambrecht joined ING Australia as Operational Resilience Lead and member of the Executive Committee in October 2022.
Lambrecht started with ING in 1996 as management trainee and has worked for ING Netherlands in project & change management roles in Operations, IT, Front Office, Wholesale Banking (WB) International and Non-Financial Risk management. As of 2008 - 2018, Lambrecht largely worked for ING abroad, leading the Compliance Maturity Programs for ING Belgium and ING Bank Turkey as well as heading the Non-Financial Risk functions of ING in Turkey and ING WB Asia region. In his last role before joining ING in Sydney, Lambrecht setup and headed the Transaction Monitoring Remediation function within Global KYC.
Lambrecht is an engineer in Industrial Engineering & Management (University Twente) and holds Masters degrees in Marketing (TIAS) and Finance and Control (University of Maastricht).

Martine Forrester
General Counsel
Martine joined ING in April 2019. She is a member of the Executive Committee and is responsible for leading the Legal and Company Secretariat function for ING in Australia.
Martine‘s previous executive roles included Chief Governance Officer at HCF where she held the roles of General Counsel, Chief Risk Officer and Company Secretary and prior to that she was the General Counsel & Company Secretary of Lloyds International (Lloyds Banking Group’s Australian business) and had responsibility for managing the Legal, Governance and Regulatory Risk functions. She was also a Director of The Black Horse Foundation.
Earlier in her career she held senior roles in legal private practice and in-house roles in Sydney and London specialising in financial services, risk and governance. She is admitted to practice law in Australia and England, as well as being a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
