Career Development

At ING Australia we believe strongly in developing our people so career planning has been included as part of our performance management system known as ‘PRIDE’. We have recently introduced a new program called ‘My Career at ING’ to help staff and managers gain the skills and tools they need to design and manage their own career plans.


Training

Learning and Development is embedded in the way we do things. We are committed to providing you with the knowledge and skills required to perform your role, and also to help you get promoted to your next role at ING.


Learning and Development Curriculum

The Learning and Development team offer a comprehensive curriculum which includes best practice programs that increase core capabilities in Leadership, Sales, Technical and other general employee capabilities.


Executive Leadership Development

ING Australia has partnered with one of the leading universities in Australia (Macquarie Graduate School of Management) to deliver a best practice Executive Leadership Program. The program involves working in a project team, research, and preparing a strategic project of high importance.


e-Learning

All our programs can be accessed through a learning portal, which provides a gateway to the vast array of classroom and e-Learning opportunities available to our people.


e-Library

ING Australia has an electronic library on the intranet which provides our people with access to thousands of journals, articles and books on subjects such as business, management, training, personal development, customer service, compliance, finance, communication, marketing, leadership and more.


Study Assistance Program

ING Australia offers a Study Assistance Program to encourage you to gain qualifications that benefit your development and further your career with ING Group. Financial assistance is provided together with time off for study and exam leave.


Talent Program

ING Australia has a Talent Program for employees that have the potential to become part of our senior leadership team. The Talent Program is for twelve months and selection is based on proven performance in your role; and displaying the leadership capabilities our Executive team are looking for in future leaders.
