Harry N. Stout – Chief Executive Officer
Harry N. Stout was appointed Chief Executive Officer of ING Australia in April, 2008. He joined ING in 2004 as Head of the Retail Annuity Business Group and in 2007 was promoted to head ING’s Wealth Management Market Segments in the US, with responsibility for managing products, pricing and marketing functions. He has over 25 years’ experience in financial services working for major US and international organisations, including Old Mutual U.S. Life Holdings, Fidelity and Guaranty Life Insurance Company, United Pacific Life Insurance Companies, and KPMG.
Harry is a member of ING’s Global Management Council, and is a business graduate of Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. |

Ross Bowden, Executive Director, Employer Super
Employer Superannuation Group is responsible for ING’s employer superannuation products and services. Ross Bowden has held senior executive roles for ING and associated companies, including financial planning group RetireInvest, since 1988. These have included product, marketing, funds management and adviser services.

Helen Troup, Executive Director, Life Risk
The Life Risk Group is responsible for ING’s life risk insurance products sold via intermediaries (advice product). These products include life, income protection and serious illness insurance for both individuals and organisations. Helen joined ING in late 2001 from Royal & SunAlliance. She has over 15 years experience in various roles in risk insurance including product, marketing, technology and operations.

Richard Schoeffer, Executive Director, Direct Insurances
Direct Insurances is responsible for a wide range of general insurance, consumer credit insurance and direct-sold life insurance products, marketed through ANZ Bank, as well as direct and external channels. Richard has headed up the Direct Insurances business unit since joining INGA in May 2002. Prior to this he held general management positions for some 14 years at ANZ, in insurance, funds management and retail investment services.

David Kan, Executive Director, Personal Investment
Personal Investments is responsible for ING’s investment and retirement incomes products including unit trusts, personal superannuation and pensions. David Kan joined ING Australia in November 2005 and was appointed Executive Director, effective November 2007. Prior to this he spent several years in the wealth management industry working in areas of strategy, projects and finance. He also worked for McKinsey & Company, primarily in financial services in the Asia Pacific region.
David holds a Master of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management and Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees from the University of Sydney. He is a member of the Marketing and Distribution Board Committee of the industry body, Investment and Financial Services Association (IFSA).

Ian Riley, Chief Financial Officer
Ian Riley was appointed Chief Financial Officer in May 2006, following two years with ING Australia as Group Financial Controller (CFO). As CFO and Executive Director of the Corporate & Financial Group, Ian is responsible for overseeing all aspects of ING’s financial management - including budgeting, accounting and actuarial management, and financial reporting. Ian has over twenty years experience in wealth management and insurance, including over a decade in senior roles in Asia with Canadian group Manulife, including Regional Financial Controller. Prior to this, he was a senior manager with Deloittes Australia in audit and merger & acquisition roles.
Ian has a Bachelor of Economics from Sydney University and other professional accreditations including ACA Australian Institute, FLMI Life Management Institute and COE American Society for Quality.

Fred Bertram, Chief Operating Officer
Customer Solutions is a newly formed business unit focusing on customer service delivery and technology, and aims to provide improved operational efficiency, agility and ultimately better systems and service for our customers. Fred Bertram was appointed as Chief Operating Officer of ING Australia, commencing in the role in March 2008. Prior to joining ING Australia, Fred was the Managing Director of ANZ Bank’s Operations Technology and Shared Services based in Bangalore, India. During his 12 years at ANZ, he also undertook a broad range of general management roles covering human resources, shared services and operations. Prior to ANZ, Fred held roles at AMP and Perpetual Trustees.
Fred holds a LLB degree in Law from the University of Canterbury.

Ross Barnwell, Executive Director, Sales & Marketing
Sales & Marketing is responsible for ING Australia's distribution strategies and operational activities to achieve revenue, sales and value of new business targets. Ross Barnwell joined ING Australia in 2004 and was appointed Executive Director in February, 2008. Ross has 20 years' experience in the funds management industry, and has held various roles covering institutional investment and risk distribution. He also has a background in dealer group management and platform promotion.
A graduate of the University of Queensland, Ross holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment (SIA). He is an Associate of FINSIA. |

Brendan Keys, Executive Director, People & Performance
People & Performance is responsible for the design and implementation of strategies to optimise business performance. We provide programs, tools and processes focused on performance, talent, organisational culture and skill development. Our services include general HR management, organisational development, recruitment, learning and development, wellness services, reporting and payroll.
Brendan Keys was appointed Executive Director at ING, effective August 2006. Prior to this he was Head Of Business Unit Delivery and Workplace Relations at ANZ National Bank, New Zealand, with 9,500 employees. Prior to joining ANZ Brendan's career was in a broad range of HR consulting and management roles across a number of industries.
Brendan's qualifications include Bachelor and Masters (Honours) in Social Science (Behavioural and Industrial Psychology). |
