ING Corporate Super still rated No1 – fourth consecutive win
ING Australia’s Corporate Super offering is again rated number 1 by The Heron Partnership*.
Announcing the 2008/2009 ratings The Heron Partnership rated ING Corporate Super the Top Corporate Super Product for the fourth consecutive assessment and stated that ING had introduced some member servicing and communications initiatives which are leading edge.
Mark Pankhurst, ING Australia’s Head of Product and Marketing for Employer Super, said: “Achieving the number one rating for the fourth year running as Heron’s Top Rated Corporate Product is a significant achievement and we are extremely proud of this honour. But it is equally important to recognise that ING Australia has done this through the commitment and dedication of a large number of people across our business who are focused on the singular goal of being a leader in the superannuation market place.
“ING Australia has made a number of changes and upgrades to its Corporate Super product over the last two years that further simplify and demystify super to members and employers.
“We reduced the PDS, improved our services and administration, simplified the language, improved and simplified our member, employer and adviser online functionality and added further education services for members.
“We’ve been able to make these things happen because we have some of the best people in the market, focused on listening to our customers and understanding their needs. They are then empowered to go out and find new, innovative solutions that help make super easier for our clients,” said Mr Pankhurst.
The Heron Super Fund Ratings are an independent assessment of industry, retail, and corporate funds that covers up to 150 features of each superannuation product.
When releasing the ratings for 2008/09, The Heron Partnership Managing Director, Chris Butler, said: “The primary goal of the Heron Quality Star Ratings is to provide a realistic and objective representation of the strengths and weaknesses of a product. The ratings are based on feature specific benchmarks which guide Heron’s assessors to rate the feature objectively, with all products therefore being rated on the exact same basis. The ratings for each feature are aggregated to an overall numeric rating for each product”.
*The Heron Partnership is an independent firm that works with corporations, trustee boards and institutions, providing advice regarding superannuation and financial benefits, and next step implementation services.
