Thursday, 13 December 2007Back

Millennium3 today announced the appointment of Marcus O’Sullivan to the new position of National Manager Life Risk.

Announcing the appointment, Joint Managing Director, Barry Martin said that Marcus brings to this role a strong background and experience in life insurance and underwriting.

“Creating this new position of National Manager Life Risk clearly demonstrates our commitment to the life risk business,” said Mr Martin.

“A key aspect of the role is liaising with underwriting and claims management specialists on behalf of advisers.  This will allow advisers to spend more time in face-to-face consultations with their clients.

“The National Manager Life Risk is critical to our strategy and focus to continue to substantially grow the life insurance business.”

Prior to this appointment to Millennium3, Marcus was Manager Wealth Insurance Services for Suncorp, where he managed the risk insurance portfolio.

Marcus has more than 15 years’ experience as a risk manager and underwriter, across a range of well known corporates.

“This is a key role for Millennium3.  With nearly 70% of Australians underinsured it is essential for financial advisory firms to increase client awareness of the value of adequate risk insurance.  And it also makes good business sense,” said Mr Martin.
