ING Global Property Securities Fund
ING Investment Management has won the Standard & Poor’s 2007 Fund Manager of the Year Award – Listed Property Category. These awards recognise excellence in investments in Australia.
The S&P Fund Awards are recognized as the pre-eminent accolade in the funds management industry throughout the world. The methodology for selecting the winners is based on a qualitative assessment of specific investment-management capabilities of individual managers. Standard & Poor’s Managing Director, Chris Dalton commented “We believe the winning managers have the highest quality capabilities and are best positioned for sustained future success.”
David McClatchy, Chief Investment Officer, ING Investment Management, said that he was particularly pleased with winning this prestigious award as it reinforces our powerful combination of a truly global approach with local market insights.
Security selection of the fund is undertaken by ING Clarion in the US, which has a large team of dedicated property security portfolio managers and analysts. ING Clarion is one of the largest and most experienced portfolio management teams in the market place dedicated to managing global real estate securities.
ING Clarion also draws on the research and resources of ING Real Estate’s global network - which ranks among the world’s largest real estate organisations with over $138 billion in funds under management and offices in 15 countries in Europe, the United States, Asia and Australia.
This is the second award ING has received for Global Property this year. In May, ING Real Estate won the Global Pensions’ Property Manager of the Year Award 2007, issued by Global Pensions Magazine. “We are extremely proud to be acknowledged as the world’s best property investment manager by the pension fund industry” commented David Blight, Global Chief Executive, ING Real Estate Investment Management.
The ING Global Property Securities Fund has attained the highest possible research ratings from both Standard & Poor’s and Lonsec.
