Specialist investment manager solution
We select a range of investment managers who have expertise in a particular asset class. Each manager must have a distinct investment style, a proven investment process and a strong track record of performance.

Economic analysis & tactical asset allocation (TAA)
We look at factors around the world such as economic growth, inflation and government policies – and assess how these will impact the performance of each asset class. We then adjust the fund to gain a greater exposure to the asset classes expected to perform well at that particular time in the market cycle.

Manager allocation within asset classes
We blend complementary investment manager styles and adjust the portfolio in favour of the managers expected to perform well during a particular market cycle.

Measurement of investment manager’s performance & asset allocation
Once selected, managers are closely monitoring and evaluated on their ongoing performance. We look at qualitative factors such as the way investment managers construct their portfolios and their investment methods, as well as quantitative measures like the returns of each manager compared with pre-set benchmarks and their competitors.

Regular independent review
Our investment committee regularly reviews the OptiMix Multi-manager process and the performance of the specialist investment managers.
