OptiMix, ING Australia’s multi-manager, launches geared Aussie equities fund.
ING Executive Director Personal Investments, Alexis George said unlike geared share funds in the marketplace which have a single underlying manager, OptiMix offers a diversified Australian shares portfolio of complementary investment managers.
“The OptiMix Geared Australian Share Fund is an exciting investment solution for clients who seek leveraged returns in Australian equities, balanced with the reduced volatility provided through OptiMix’s rigorous Manage-the-Manager approach. As the fund itself is doing the gearing, superannuation investors can also access this innovation,” Ms George said.
OptiMix currently has in excess of $2.5 billion under management within the Australian shares pool, managed by a rigorously researched complementary mix of Australian share managers.
The historical performance of the non geared version of the OptiMix Australian shares portfolio is consistently strong relative to other Australian share managers*. OptiMix’s investment process provides investors with active manager allocations through different stages of the sharemarket cycle.
The OptiMix Geared Australian Share Fund will be made available on ING’s OneAnswer and Integra Super platforms from 20 July 2006.
