We do this by:

  • Facilitating relevant training We have a performance management system known as PRIDE, and have also recently introduced a program called My Career at ING – to give staff and managers tools and skills to manage their own carers. We want our people to get the skills and knowledge they need to excel in their role, and get promoted for their next role.
  • Offering a learning and development curriculum Our Learning and Development team offer a comprehensive curriculum which includes best practice programs to help people develop their technical, sales or leadership skills.
  • Providing Executive Leadership Development  We have joined forces with one of the leading universities in Australia (Macquarie Graduate School of Management) to deliver a best practice Executive Leadership Program. This gives executives experience in working within a project team, performing research, and developing a strategic product.
  • Offering e-learning We want to make things easy for our people. As such, all our training programs can be accessed through an online learning portal.
  • Having an e-library We have an online collection of journals, articles and books on subjects such as business, management, training, personal development, customer service, compliance, finance, communication, marketing, leadership and more.
  • Providing a Study Assistance Program This program can help our people to gain qualifications that benefit their development and further their career with us. We provide financial assistance, and time off for study and exam leave.
  • Facilitating a talent program We have a talent program for employees that have the potential to become part of our senior leadership team. This program runs for twelve months. We select people based on proven performance in their role, and we look for people who are displaying the leadership qualities we need.
